This young girl developed a keloid scar* on her right earlobe following an ear piercing. Dr. Ghaderi recommended that the keloid be excised. The after photos were taken approximately 4 months after the procedure.
*Keloids are the excess growth of scar tissue at the site of a healed skin injury. Keloids are common in young women and African Americans. They can be hereditary.
