more men than ever are considering cosmetic procedures. Men still account for a minority of procedures overall (8%), but that number is growing at a rapid pace, with 1.3 million procedures done in 2015.
Why are more men than ever considering plastic surgery? For one, society overall is becoming less gendered, which has expanded the borders of what is acceptable. Men who would have once been interested in a cosmetic procedure but were afraid to act on it are now becoming more comfortable with the idea.
