Why Patients Choose Dr. Ghaderi

The Plastic Surgeon Doctors Recommend

The decision to have surgery to improve your appearance can enrich every area of your life, and it is of utmost importance that you have confidence in your surgeon. Confidence comes from knowing that you have chosen a doctor who has been widely recommended by other area physicians. Dr. Bahram Ghaderi is the plastic surgeon that many Chicago doctors recommend to their own patients, family and friends.

Prior to becoming a plastic surgeon in St. Charles, near Chicago, Dr. Ghaderi earned his degree in medicine from the University of Michigan, which is among the top 10 medical schools in the country. He then underwent training in both general surgery and plastic surgery.

Dr. Ghaderi has had his work published in a number of professional medical journals, including a publication of his research on breast augmentation in an international journal.

In addition to completing years of schooling, fulfilling residency requirements and passing the exams required to practice medicine in Illinois, Dr. Ghaderi participates in the American Board of Plastic Surgery Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. This is an ongoing process of continuing education to keep current with the latest advances in medical science and technology in plastic surgery as well as best practices in patient safety, quality healthcare and creating a responsive patient-focused environment. MOC is an extensive process that involves completing accredited education and specialty training as well as periodic oral and written exams to demonstrate competency. It is the only recertification program recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Dr. Ghaderi feels fortunate and grateful to have discovered how to live life immersed in his passion.

As early as his junior high education, Dr. Ghaderi could express a sense of “just knowing” that his life calling was to be a surgeon. He fondly recounts the memories of time spent with his father building an artificial heart for the science fair; and recalls having expressed his young artistic style in his early self portraits as a surgeon complete with scalpel in hand. Dr. Ghaderi relates having a mindset early in his education to choose his path with the purposeful intent of becoming a surgeon.

Dr. Ghaderi admits to having a secret fascination in culinary delights. Luckily for this Southern California native, Chicago is known for its diversity of dining choices. Having a bit of a sweet tooth, there is only one food he has to have when he travels back to California. It’s a chocolate soufflé from one of his favorite restaurants near the beach. Dr. Ghaderi takes the most pleasure in sharing a lingering dining experience with family and friends.

While there exists the belief that surgeons take to the golf course for solitude and relaxation, Dr. Ghaderi finds leisure and entertainment at home with his wife Patrice and their three children. Fostering individuality, the children have a variety of interests that help keep Dr. Ghaderi abreast of the newest trends. Genuine in character, Dr. Ghaderi extends the family circle to include each of his patients as well. This is how Dr. Ghaderi completes the sense of fulfillment he desires each and every day.

“When I made the decision to specialize in aesthetic surgery, I also made the commitment to research the newest, most effective techniques and to learn from respected leaders in the field. I continue to assess relevant innovations in technology and procedures to ensure that my patients are receiving top-quality care.”

Apart from Dr. Ghaderi’s schedule with surgeries and family, he finds time to give back to the patients that make St. Charles Plastic Surgery unique. Not only does Dr. Ghaderi perform cosmetic surgeries of the face and body, but he also continues to be involved in reconstructive breast surgery after mastectomy.

Dr. Ghaderi is an active participant at the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva, Illinois. LivingWell provides awareness and support for cancer patients through their many programs. He has lectured at LivingWell Cancer Resource Center to inform and assist patients with their questions regarding reconstructive surgery after mastectomy. Dr. Ghaderi is proud to support this valuable local resource.
