This 48 year old patient had saline breast implants placed several years ago by Dr. Ghaderi. She noticed that her right breast implant had deflated and decided to proceed with bilateral implant replacement. She opted for silicone breast implants for her replacement*. Her height is 5’7″. Before the procedure, the patient weighed 125lbs. With implants, the patient had a preoperative bra size of 36D. 425 cc, round, smooth surfaced, silicone implants were used, returning the patient to her 36D bra size. The implants were placed under the chest muscle. The after photos for this patient were taken approximately 1 month after surgery.
The silicone gel that is used in breast implants has a more natural feel when compared to saline filled implants. Common problems with saline filled breast implants such as rippling or implant wrinkling are rare with silicone gel filled breast implants because the material doesn’t shift inside the implant. Therefore, the breasts maintain a soft and more natural appearance.
