This case features a patient who underwent breast augmentation surgery. After the surgery, the patient had a baby and breastfed her child. We wanted to share her photos as an example of the surgical results following pregnancy and breastfeeding that occurs after breast augmentation surgery. The patient was 32 years old at the time of her surgery, was concerned about her breast size and wanted to have a more proportionate appearance. The patient’s height is 5’5″. Before the procedure, the patient weighed 134lbs. The patient had a preoperative bra size of 36A. 300 cc, round, smooth surfaced, saline implants were used, giving the patient a 34C postoperative bra size. The implants were placed under the chest muscle. The first set of after photos for this patient were taken approximately 6 months after surgery prior to her pregnancy. The final set of after photos were taken approximately two years after surgery.

*Many women with breast implants have successfully breastfed their babies. Certain implant placement techniques may reduce the ability to successfully breastfeed. Questions and concerns about breastfeeding after breast augmentation surgery can be discussed with Dr. Ghaderi during a consultation.
