Ever since I can remember, I have always been self-conscious about the indentation in my right temple. When I would meet someone for the first time, I wondered if they noticed it. No one ever teased me, so it was easy to rationalize not having surgery.
I finally worked up the courage to meet with a plastic surgeon a few months before my wedding. I always noticed the indentation when I saw pictures of myself, and I didn’t want to see it in my wedding pictures. The surgery was going to be expensive, and the surgeon refused to work out a payment plan with me. I was disappointed by the entire experience.
Six years later, I once again worked up the courage to meet with a plastic surgeon. I went on Delnor’s website, and was impressed by Dr. Ghaderi’s background. Dr. Ghaderi encouraged both me and my husband to ask questions, and explained everything very clearly and honestly. Once I was comfortable with the idea of having surgery, the only question that remained involved the cost. Dr. Ghaderi’s nurse told me that even if my insurance did not cover the surgery, I would only be responsible for a set amount, and I could pay it back over a one-year period. Hearing this, I knew that it was the right decision for me, and that this was the right time.
My surgery was scheduled at my convenience, and everything went as well I could have hoped for. I couldn’t stop staring at my face in the mirror the first day that my bandage was removed. I felt beautiful, but even more so, I felt “normal”.
I no longer have to be self-conscious when meeting people for the first time. I like looking at photographs of me with my children. I feel much more confident, and I wonder now why I waited so long to have the surgery.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ghaderi to other patients considering plastic surgery. He takes the time to answer all of your questions, lets you move at your own pace, and schedules several follow-up appointments to make sure that your recovery is progressing as it should.
I have no regrets about my decision to have surgery – I just wish I had done it sooner.
